Lanre Shittu to unveil Sany Construction Equipment
LANRE Shittu Motors will on Thursday launch the Sany Construction Equipment products into the Nigerian market.
Disclosing this to Vanguard Motoring recently in his Lagos office, along Apapa-Oshodi Expressway, the Group Executive Director, Lanre Shittu Motors, Mr. Taiwo Shittu said “having tested the Sany products in Nigeria over the last one year, we have found it good enough to finally unveil it into the Nigerian market.
He described the quality of Sany product as very high and comparable to the very best you can find anywhere in Europe and America. According to him, “Sany is number one equipment manufacturing company in Asia and has gained acceptance in Germany, Brazil, America and India.”
He noted that, Sany Construction equipment is a combination of Chinese and Germany technology.
The executive director further explained that Sany entered into partnership with Lanre Shittu Group barely a year ago and all efforts were channelled towards training the manpower to effectively handle the world class product in Nigeria.
“Sany is a new dealership we signed last year but we have been concentrating on the training of our technicians both abroad and locally to handle the equipment and guaranty customers investments in the products,” he said.
“All the logistics of having a dealership have been going on in the last one year while well over 50 technicians and engineers have completed training on the maintenance of this product.
“With a plant in Germany, America, Brazil and India, there is no doubt that Sany equipment rank among the very best you can think of across the globe,” he said. The Group Executive Director however noted that their desire to offer the Nigerian construction industry the best at affordable price led to their introduction of the product.
“Before we came into contact with Sany Construction Equipment, we discovered that construction equipment were out of reach of many construction companiesthereby forcing them to go for used equipment that breaks down easily. Secondly they were overpriced, with poor after sales backup. So, what we want to do with Sany products is to offer customers quality products with second to non after sales support.
This he said led to the training of over 50 technicians in our on-going training programme aimed at ensuring that our customers doesn’t stop work at the site for any reason. In addition to this, Mr. Shittu said that they will also train technicians for their client at no cost to the customer.
Promising to re-enact what they did with Mack trucks on the Sany products in Nigeria, “Before we ventured into partnership with Mack Trucks, you could hardly see Mack trucks on the road but the story changed when we came into the business. Right now Mack has over 30 per cent share of the Nigerian truck market because of the way we pushed it with good after sales back up,” he said.
