Fashola affirms readiness for Eko 2012

With the final work being carried out in all the facilities expected to be used for the 18th National Sport Festival tagged Eko 2012, Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, believes the state is fully ready to stage a befitting games.

Speaking during the hoisting of flag for the sporting fiesta, Fashola said he is confident that with efforts put into the preparation, all was now set for the festival.

“With all the infrastructure in place for the festival, I want to say that Lagos is ready for the games and we will ensure we treat all our visitors with the warm and good hospitality Lagos is noted for.,” he said.

Fashola added that the flag hoisting was a big step to the successful hosting of the festival.

Speaking in the same vein, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, who doubles as Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Adejoke Orelope- Adefulire reassured that the state’s readiness for the festival.
