Eko 2012: Adefulire showers praises on NBC

The Local Organising Committee for the 18th National Sports Festival yesterday announced a bumper package offered by Nigeria Bottling Company, makers of popular beverage drink, Coca Cola towards the organisation of the sports fiesta.

Chairman of the LOC and Deputy Governor of Lagos State Victoria Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire disclosed at the LOC Secretariat, Teslim Balogun Stadium Tuesday that apart from the sponsorship fee, the company was also giving our Coca Cola and water worth N1 million.

“We are happy to get the Nigeria Bottling Company to identify with us in this huge project. We believe they will get good value for their money,” the Deputy Governor said, while calling on other companies to also partner with them.

The Managing Director of the Nigeria Bottling Company, Ben Langat said, “we are very excited as a company and a brand to identify with Eko 2012.,”

He disclosed that apart from the sponsorship money and the drinks his company would spend over one hundred million naira to brand the venue. “This is the first time, since the NBC was set up 62 years ago  that we will be branding our product to support an event of this magnitude.

We want participants to refresh themselves during the games and for now we have released over 1million of the branded product to the market and we believe this will also help to sensitise people about the games,” Langat said.
