The Mimiko campaign Organisation has alleged that the leaders of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) have arrived Ondo State with lots of printed vests, caps, arm bands and other mementos of the Labour Party (LP) to cause trouble in the State during its Akure mega rally next week.

In a release by its Director of Publicity and Media Relations, Mr Kolawole Olabisi, the MCO on Friday disclosed that the plans of the AACN was to make their thugs, who would be armed with offensive weapons to wear these LP party vests and other mementos.

It also alleged that these LP materials would also be used on the day of election contrary to the provisions of the Electoral Laws with a view to using them at the Election petition tribunal to attempt to disqualify the party.

They would then infiltrate the LP’s Mega Rally to be held in Akure next week, thereafter, they are to start fighting with the aim of maiming and possibly kill some people while surreptitiously recording this gory scene on camera which would also be brought into the venue by their men. This would thereafter be broadcast on television stations and social media to make us look as if we are vagabonds like them.

Aside this, they have already divided Ondo State into regions which would be manned by their henchmen to be coordinated by all the council chairmen in all the ACN controlled States. In fact, as of today, all the 57 local government councils in Lagos State are already in Ondo State while others from other states would soon join them this weekend”, the statement noted.

The MCO therefore appealed to the security agencies and the whole world to be aware of the latest in the desperation of ACN leaders, urging that any supposedly government convoy especially from Osun and Ekiti States, be thoroughly searched while those who could not give satisfactory answer to their businesses in Ondo State be turned back until after the election.
