Adamawa massacre: Fish out killers, Jonathan orders security agencies

Security Agencies have been ordered by President Goodluck Jonathan to fish out and bring to book those behind the Independence Day massacre of students of Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Adamawa State University, the School of Health Technology, Mubi and the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).
Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Dr. Reuben Abati, while briefing journalists in Abuja, Wednesday, said the president described the killings as tragic, sad, barbaric and shocking.
“The President has directed Security agencies to investigate the matter and get to the root because this kind of incidence, where people are called out and shot is really shocking”, he said.
He further disclosed that the Minister of Education, Professor Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufa’i, had briefed the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on the killings.
It would be recalled that unknown gunmen had attack the four higher institutions killing 43 students while many others were injured during the attack.
While the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi lost 26 students, 14 others were killed at other two higher institutions in the state.
