President General of the Nigerian Supporters Club, Dr Rafiu Ladipo made a grand entry into the London 2012 Olympics with his band of 17 ready to chant down London and lift the spirit of Team Nigeria athletes as they fight for medals.
‘’We’ve arrived here and I promise you things will never be the same again. Team Nigeria athletes are going to soar higher as we will propel them with drums, trumpets and songs that will rattle the venues where they fight, run , kick or punch”, he said.
The team headed straight to the Olympic Village but could not gain entry as they were later met by Nigeria Olympic Committee Admin Manager, Emma Nweri who explained that they needed passes to get to the Village. Nweri also informed them on the process of getting tickets to be part of Team Nigeria’s events at the Games.
‘’I’ve spoken to NOC President, Engr Sani Ndanusa. We want to ginger them on with our support. That is what they need to do well at the Games”, Ladipo emphasized.
