Dutse – The Chairman of the Dutse Capital Development Authority, Alhaji Bashir Aminu, has said that 11 companies are bidding for the construction of the proposed international airport in Dutse.
Aminu made the disclosure in an interview in Dutse on Monday.
He said that about two billion naira had been set aside by the Jigawa Government for the commencement of the project.
Aminu said that all the companies involved in the bidding had submitted their proposals, noting that the State Government had already provided a site for the project.
The chairman explained that the project would be executed in five phases, comprising construction of runaways, terminal building, lighting, road building and and construction of fuel tanks.
He said that when completed, the airport would attract investors to Jigawa and bring economic benefits to residents of the state. (NAN)
