Aspiring model, 19 years old Mr. Osun State, Abayomi Towase has won the Mr. Ideal 2012. He beat 35 other male contestants at the pageantry.
The competition which started with 36 contestants dropped to 20 with the elimination of four contestants at each stage, until there was left, the last four men standing, while the judges adjudged them based on the answers to the questions and performance in the previous rounds.
Towase said, “I am proud of my accomplishment because I know it would take me on to greater heights. I will like to move on and win Mr. United Nations pageant coming up in December and be the cover model for lots of magazines and brands.”
As winner of the pageantry, he automatically becomes the new face of Blue Storm energy drink and Clicloc Nigeria, getting a contract award to start his own business as well as represent Nigeria at the Mr. United Nations finals.
The runner-up from Lagos state, Fortune Davids also won for himself a one year contract as the new Ambassador to Blue Storm energy drink and will represent Nigeria at the Mister Tourism International contest in Panama in November.
Other finalists who made it to the finals include ‘Mr. Akwa Ibom State, second runner up, Mr. Katsina State, third runner up and Mr. Abuja, fourth runner up.
Producer and President, House of Twitch, Mr. Ayotunde Fabamwo, said that the primary objective for introducing ‘MR Ideal Nigeria” is to encourage the Nigerian youths, especially young male graduates to come up with their own business ideas without depending on organizations or the government for survival.
