Ikhana assures Nigerians on Falcons

By KATE OBODO

Super Falcons coach, Kadiri Ikhana has assured Nigerians that his girls will have a convincing victory  over the Mighty Warriors of Zimbabwe in the second leg of the  Africa Women’s Championship qualifier holding  today at the  Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

The Falcons defeated the Zimbabweans  2-0  in Harare a couple of weeks ago and  Ikhana told  Saturday Vanguard sports that his wards would wrap up victory in this reverse fixture.

“We are battle ready for Zimbabwe and also ready to finish what we started in Harare last month.  I’m sure my girls won’t disappoint.  We have been able to work on all areas of the team and I hope they would showcase their worth and come out with a good result,” he said.

Meanwhile,  Former Falcons coach Joseph Ladipo, a.k.a   Jossy Lad  is also confident about the girls’ performance in today’s tie against the Zimbabweans.

“I don’t have any doubt about the team because I know they are capable. I’m  optimistic they would do well but they should not underrate Zimbabwe,” the former Shooting Stars coach warned.
