Home-based Super Eagles players have vowed to lift their game and deliver, when they file out against Rwanda in Saturday’s Nations Cup 2013 qualifier here at the U.J Esuene Stadium Calabar.
They promised to win the game for their coach Stephen Keshi who has somewhat placed so much confidence on them. According to Ejike Uzoenyi the players have perfected their acts in training. He has assured Nigerian fans that the match will be different from their nightmarish outing in Malawi.
The Rangers International FC of Enugu player, revealed in chat with Sports Vanguard that the players have done everything possible to put the Malawi encounter behind them and give Nigerians hope.
He said, “We are very prepared, we have worked hard and by the grace of God, we are going to do our very best, we expect to have a great game come Saturday.
“Hopefully,, Saturday will be a different game from what we played in Malawi.
“We have tried to understand ourselves and coordinate better. And we are coming out to give our very best by the grace of God, victory will be ours,” he said.
Also speaking to Sports Vanguard was Enyimba of Aba attacking midfielder, Henry Uche. He said that the match between Nigeria and Malawi in the 2014 FIFA World cup Brazil qualifier was a difficult one but expressed happiness that Nigeria was not disgraced at the end of the game.
“By the grace of God, we will make Nigerians proud on Saturday by scoring many goals. We have worked very hard and there will be an improvement from our outing last weekend.”
