Aviation minister, Princess Stella Oodua says she is saddened by the Dana air plane crash in Lagos, Sunday, in which 153 passengers plus cabin crew were feared dead.
She says she is already on her way to the crash site. According her “I am extremely saddened by the news of the crash and I assure the nation that investigations are underway,’’ she said.
Report reaching us has it that the crew of the aircraft declared May Day, an emergency announcement in the aviation industry, some 11 nautical miles to Lagos as the plane caught fire. The aircraft left Abuja en-route Lagos some 50 minutes earlier.
The aircraft crashed into no less than three buildings which were gutted by fire. (NAN)
