NIGERIANS will soon have the opportunity of a direct grading and opinion on several government policies, programmes and activities if plans by the National Orientation Agency, NOA, to put in place an e-polling platform comes into effect.
Director General of the Agency, Mr. Mike Omeri, who made this known in Minna, yesterday, said that under the scheme, Nigerians will have the opportunity to send their opinions regarding specific government policies to the NOA for feedback to the relevant agencies.
This is even as more stakeholders have endorsed the proposal by the NOA for the use of second stanza of the national anthem to be adopted as the official prayer at schools and public functions nation-wide.
Chief Press Secretary of NOA, Mr Paul Odenyi, Mr Omeri, had said while recieveing the Special Adviser to the President on Social Development and Special Duties, Mrs. Sarah Pane, in his office in Abuja that her endorsement was the second most important among the stakeholders, so far for the proposal.
However, under the law establishing the agency, it is expected to serve as feedback platform for government programs and activities.
Consequently, NOA is setting up an ICT user friendly interface where Nigerians can access information on government policies and make inputs to enrich them.
