Uche Jombo takes search for Nollywood stars to UK

Top Nollywood actress  Uche Jombo whose trilogy “Damage” still making waves in the cinemas has done it again. The actress has debuted with a talent hunt reality show better known as Nollywood Star Search, in  far away UK.

She is facilitating the project in collaboration with Nollywood Uncut.

Source close to the actress said the programme is open to all Nigerians, Africans as well as Afro- Carribean nationals. Auditions start in April/May 2012.

The source further revealed that the winner of the competition  will get a lead role in a movie to be produced by Uche Jombo’s studio  and directed by Desmond Elliot in the summer of 2012.

As consolation prizes, five other participants will get smaller roles in the movie.

The reality show, in a statement by the organisers is geared towards affording participants the great opportunity to become stars and feature alongside other Nollywood greats in a mainstream Nollywood film.

Nollywood Uncut (best Nollywood website 2011 winner) is partnering Uche Jombo studios to create this opportunity. Jombo who won the Actress of the Year award at the annual Exquisite Magazine Lady of the Year award in 2011, is a writer, producer and actress.
