LAGOS – (AFP) – A blast that targeted an army barracks in the northern Nigerian city of Kaduna on Tuesday was a “foiled” suicide attack, defence spokesman Colonel Mohammed Yerima told AFP.
Asked to confirm reports that the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber, Yerima said: “Yes — a foiled one. He wasn’t successful,” adding that the soldiers at the barracks suffered no casualties.
