Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has said that Wednesday’s international friendly against the Palancas Negras of Angola in Abuja is not a must win for the home based Super Eagles reports Jacob Ajom.
Speaking on the match which the visitors will use as tune up ahead of their 2012 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, Keshi said his primary interest is to use the encounter to assess his players, individually and as a team.
“The outcome of the match won’t mean anything to me. It is not a do or die affair. My happiness is that the match will afford me the opportunity to see the progress we have made so far.
”There can’t be a better opposition than a team like Angola going to the Nations Cup ttournament and they are going to use their team A. The result won’t matter to me,” Keshi said.
Meanwhile, the sweat merchant was indifferent when asked to react to unconfirm reports that they may play under closed doors. “I won’t bother myself about that. My duty is to field a team to play.
