Newly promoted Nigerian Premier League side, Rising Stars FC of Akure have disclosed that they are not in the Premier League to make up the numbers.
Speaking with Inside Out Premier League from the team’s camp in Akure, club Secretary, Chief Ezekiel Adetoyibo said that they are poised to finish the season amongst the top five.
He also warned all clubs not to underestimate them, as it would be to their own peril.
“We are not going to be relegated as some clubs are already thinking. For us, the Premier League is a place where we intend to show our class, we intend to be amongst the top four at the end of the season.
We have just concluded our screening process for the new season and I believe that with the caliber of players we have brought in, we will perform well,” Chief Adetoyibo said.
