Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, yesterday, commended Mr. Peter Akpatason, member representing Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, for providing free medical services to the people.
Governor Oshiomhole, who was represented by the Council Chairman, Mr. Anselm Agbabi, expressed delight over Akpatason’s gesture saying, “It is a thing of joy to play host to the indefatigable, hardworking, fearless and courageous Mr. Peter Akpatason, on the formal flagging off of a-four day free medical treatment for the good people of Akoko-Edo.”
“Leadership is not a tea party. A good leader must be humane, people-friendly, and development-inclined and this must be targeted at the greatest number of people. Akpatason has demonstrated these leadership qualities.”
Earlier in his speech, Akpatason said: “The free medical service is my own way of demonstrating commitment to the service and welfare of the people I represent, having realised that a whole lot of people in the rural constituency do not have easy access to quality medical treatment.”
