Guinness Nigeria Plc has commissioned the N295 million Cocoa Industries road in Ogba, Ikeja renovated as one of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The road was renovated by the company to ease the problem encountered by motorists in the area and was commissioned by the Lagos State Governor, Alhaji. Babatunde Fashola.
Speaking, Fashola who was represented by the commissioner for works and infrastructure, Dr. Obafemi, Hamzat thanked Guinness for what he described as good example from a corporate organization to render assistance to government, as government cannot do everything alone.
Mr. Babatunde Savage, Chairman, Guinness Nigeria expressed the company’s commitment to continue to add value to the lives of Nigerians and the country a s a whole. Savage further noted that the company over N295 million to renovated the road which has been a nightmare to motorists and residents of the area.
He also said that the constructed road will be named after the Guinness Nigeria to encourage other cooperate bodies to invest in similar projects. He however appreciated the state government’s cooperation and support which it extended to them.
