Four persons, among them party chieftains of different political parties in Delta state, have been arrested in connection with the disruption of public peace at Uzere in Isoko South Local government area of Delta state.
The suspects who are from same local government have subsequently been transferred to the Federal Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja to answer questions on their alleged involvement in the arson.
The palace of traditional ruler of Uzere was invaded two weeks ago, with the invaders setting the palace on fire, thereby causing a stampede in which some persons reportedly sustained injuries.
Sources at FCID, area 10, Abuja gave the identities of those arrested as Idu Amadhe who is the community leader, Owhe Emeakpor, Believe Uduagu, and Mishark Uge .
Police sources at FCID said already the suspects had been charged to court.
