Folio Communications, owner of Daily Times Company, has faulted Senate’s recommendations asking Federal Government to revoke its acquisition of the newspaper.
Folio Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Semiu Makanjuola, in a statement, weekend, said the company has the legal certification, backing its ownership of majority control and management of Daily Times of Nigeria Plc.
Reacting to the Senate recommendations that Daily Times be transferred to DSV, it noted that in as much it cannot fault the constitutional powers of the Senate to make inquiry into such transactions affecting public institutions, it followed all the constitutional guidelines put in place by government to acquire the newspaper.
