After two long years of focusing on grooming his label acts Wizkid and Skales, R&B singer Banky W appears once again ready to stun his fans and followers with new singles.
The ladies’ man and EME boss on Tuesday, released his two new singles ‘Low key’ and ‘Setting P’ from his forthcoming album R&BW amidst applause.
Setting P (which is a slang used to describe covert ways of initiating an intimate relationship with someone) is hard hitting with the drums. Banky‘s swift and melodious delivery does justice to Masterkraft’s up tempo beat.
Low Key, produced by Sarz, takes on the opposite route; slow and classy, Banky reminds us why he is considered one of the best in his field. The song is a compelling R&B slow jam which not only gets you in that baby-making mood but also excellently showcases Banky W’s vocal dexterity and his songwriting prowess over captivating keyboard with violin arrangements and well-placed drum patterns.
Co-produced by MasterKraft and Banky W himself, Setting P is a massive dance floor filler which is led by lush percussions and talking drums and grandiose synths, fuses beautifully with Banky W’s undeniable vocals that will most definitely get you dancing and going down low for all of four minutes.
Both songs also see Banky W showcase his versatility as he flexes his rapping skills on Setting P and Low Key. With these two songs, Banky W has officially returned as the King of African R&B and we cannot wait for the forthcoming R&BW Album!
