As Nigerians await the decision of the organization and disciplinary sub-committee of the Nigerian Football Federation to pass its verdict on the purported match fixing involving Lobi Stars, Sunshine Stars and eventual league champion, Dolphins, Nigerian Premier League Congressman, Samuel Aindigh has said that the ruling is not for Lobi Stars but for Nigerian football.
The Lobi Stars General Manager told Inside Out Premier League that the team has presented excellent case with genuine

Aminu Maigari
evidence to the O/D Sub-committee which he hopes will aid their decision.
“The judgement is not for Lobi or Sunshine only, but for Nigerian football in general. We have presented a very good case to the organization and disciplinary sub-committee of the NFF with concrete evidence to further buttress our point. All we can do now is to wait as we are not the ones to judge the case but those in the committee. We and all those involved were cross-examined.,” Aindigh said.
On the issue of sponsorship for the league, he said, “inasmuch as I am a congressman, I do not have much say on the issue because I am not among those that constitute the marketing committee which is involved in getting the job done.
“It is after they have met, then we will meet at the congress, in a yet to be named venue to decide which of the deal is good enough for the league. All I know is that, at the commencement of the league next season, there will be a sponsor,” Aindigh added.
