President, Nigeria Olympic Committee, Engr Sani Ndanusa has said that Nigerian contingent to the forthcoming London 2012 Olympic Games will be incomplete without the Nigeria U23 football team.

The nation’s men football team, the Dream Team V will kick off their Olympics ticket chase on Saturday against hosts, Morocco in Tangier at the Caf Under 23 Championship.

The former Sports minister told SuperSport.com that the Olympic family considers the football ticket as the most essential qualification.

“The biggest qualification that we are concerned with at the Olympic Committee is that of football.

“I can’t see London 2012 with Team Nigeria without football because of the position of football in Nigeria, the fellowship and political value.

“We have already directed our technical committee chairman to be present in Morocco to monitor events and to contribute within the Olympic capacity to this qualification.

“It is only when a team qualified that it becomes our property but this one is big, so we want to start working on how to get the property to us.”
