Management of Rangers Football Club of Enugu has debunked reports that its Chief Executive Officer, Ozor Paul Chibuzor has been sacked.
Spokesman of the club, Foster Chime told Inside Out Premier League that the report must have emanated from those who do not want the progress of the club.
According to Chime, “ the management wishes to state that the report about Rangers CEO Chibuzor is absolutely untrue, a fallacy and a fragment of the imagination of the club’s enemies. Since the coming of the Chibuzor management, Rangers have never been the same again.
“Though the club may not have won the league title, to an extent he(Chibuzor) has been able to get the club to a certain level and height in the the Nigerian Premier League. One good thing about his achievement is that the club is financially viable.”
He continued, “Having finished 6th position and qualified the club for the final of this year’s WAFU Cup taking place next month in Lome, Togo. It is crystal-clear that he has done enough for the club. So those who have been carrying rumour on his sack should stop, because he is still the CEO of the club . Right now, he is focused and determined to win laurels for the club, so it will better if people stop interfering and causing distraction for the club.
“He has promised a better league season for the club, by providing the basic things that will aid the club achieve its aim. Really, Rangers are happy with the club’s achievement under him,” Chime said.
