Already billed to be one of the most exciting live music performance in Nigeria in recent times, award winning Nigerian-German artiste and activist, Ade Bantu is set to inspire Nigerians from all walks of life with his eclectic fusion of Afrofunk/Afrohiphop/Afrobeat sound on Sunday, November 13.
Alongside his colourful 12-piece musical ensemble, Bantu would literally bring the house down with his gyrating heavy bass beats, amazing vocals, socially conscious lyrics and the hybrid sound of contemporary Africa and the diaspora.
Social consciousness and the daily personal and political struggles of the disenfranchised constitute an essential element of my message and music which I use to mobilise, motivate and inspire both the minds and hips of listeners,” explained Bantu, whose music is also laced with heavy influences from the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba race.
Like the lyrics and sound of his music, Bantu’s other creative sides have artistic depth. This is reflected in the artiste’s continuous quest to help make a better world for the Nigerian youth through his creative arts pet projects such as BornTroway, a recent project that offers talented youths in marginalised areas such as Ajegunle to discover, harness and maximise their artistic potentials.
However, November 13 is reserved for the musical energy and raptures that only Bantu’s live music could produce; one that is certain to live in the memories of listeners for a long time to come.
