The executive chairman of the Delta State Sports Council, Amaju Pinnick has thumped up the Aminu Maigari led NFF board for giving the various national teams the needed support before major competitions.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s group A clash between Nigeria and Senegal at the ongoing African Olympic qualifiers in Morocco, Amaju who doubles as the Delta State FA chairman said “the beauty about the present NFF board is that they give all teams quality preparations and support the coaches, giving them a free hand to operate..”
Continuing, Amaju said, “It is not every time a team loses that you blame the NFF. They have been doing their best in terms of giving the teams the support they needed.”
Amaju, however, doubted the ability of the coach Austin Eguavoen tutored team. “They don’t look exciting. They play without inspiration. Let’s just put our fingers crossed whether they can progress.”
