“We are in camp now preparing for the World Championship which is our major aim now. Right now, I am adding final polish on the lifters’ readiness for the championship. I am positive about us doing well in Paris. I want to state it here that we have better lifters who only need systemic training for better performance at the world stage.”
He reiterated his lifters performances at the just concluded Commonwealth and Africa Championship stating that, “It was a good outing for us and also served as a testing ground for our lifters gunning for Olympic ticket. The technical crew was able to use the competition to access the lifters performance internationally.
I want to thank both the National Sports Commission and the Weightlifting Federation for ensuring that the lifters attended the championship,” he said.
