LAGOS—Newly appointed Managing Director of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, NAMA, Mr. Nnamdi Udoh, Wednesday , urged staff of the agency to work together to achieve more for the agency.
In a chat with newsmen, Udoh said: “When there is a change, people react positively or negatively but don’t forget that there is a percentage that makes the louder noise and that is the small percentage, the larger group will be busy working and realigning.
“We will stretch our hands to work with everybody because we need to complement each other. So, even when there is a percentage that do not go along, we will woo them. We will use every possible human resource process available to carry everybody along.”
Udoh stressed that the greatest challenge in every organisation was its workforce, adding that the management of NAMA would do everything possible to understand the workers in a bid to renew their minds with the current changes in the agency. He noted that it was what transformation was all about.
“You don’t change the people except you renew their mind and that is what transformation is all about. When peoples mind are transformed, their attitudes are transformed,” he said.
Further he said, “this administration will be a continuation of where my predecessor stopped. I have been part of management, there is no doubt. There is also a new drive in the transformation agenda of Mr. President, everybody here knows what we have been doing and we will reintensify our efforts on one of the new innovations in the area of the upgrades blocks by ICAO terminology, in order words, just moving from where we are to a more sophisticated reliable and more effective technology.”
