Sexy Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde last Sunday added another feather in her cap as she was announced favorite West African actress of the Year at the prestigious Screen Nation Film and Television Award, held at indigo O2 Arena in the UK. The award was hosted by Angelica Bell and Michael Underwood.
The actress, who was on a tour of four countries on a project her team is still keeping under wrap, won alongside Ghollywood play boy actor, Majid Micheal who also emerged the favourite West African actor category.
Omotola though could not make it to the big event, she sent her gratitude to her supporters for voting on her behalf.
Reacting to the good news, Omotola said, “it counted! I appreciate your love and consistency. Thank you for making your voice heard and choosing me! Thank You. Luv, Omotola.”
She beats other African nominees such as Jackie Appiah, Mercy Johnson, Genevieve Nnaji, Ama K Abebrese and many others to clinche the award.
The Screen Nation film and TV Awards takes place every October during The Black History Month and combines the glamour of international movie stars alongside British talents. The awards ceremony dubbed by the media as the “Black Oscars”, brings together the most revered actors, actresses, directors and filmmakers from the UK and the international film and TV industry.
