LAGOS- Cargo agents under the aegis of Domestic Airports Cargo Agents Association, DACAA, Sunday, faulted Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, for asking them to vacate their business premises at the General Aviation Terminal, GAT, without sufficient notice.
Expressing his disappointment over the decision by FAAN, President of the association, Mr. Emmanuel Odia, said members were not given enough time before they were asked to relocate, adding that FAAN had not even given them a new place to move to.
He said: “What is happening is that we had a meeting with FAAN on Thursday and they said they would give us till weekend to evacuate and we now appeal that they should give us a place to relocate to. There was a place that we suggested, they went there with us.
“They did the survey and said it was good but that they will take the survey to the headquarters for approval. So, one would have expected that they wait to relocate us to the place, but yesterday night, they said that the place will be locked up.”
