Former Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Mr. Timi Alaibe, should be given a waiver by Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as it was proper for him to run on the platform of the party which he helped built. This was the opinion of a Niger Delta activist, Mr. Frank Akiefa, who commended Alaibe for returning to PDP.
He said Alaibe’s contribution to the development of Niger Delta region, while he was at the helm of affairs at NDDC, was also worthy of note.
He noted that Alaibe’s collection and submission of expression of interest form for the 2012 Bayelsa State governorship ticket of PDP showed that the state remains his priority.
Akiefa noted that it was a wake up call for Bayelsans and PDP to work for the victory of Alaibe at the primaries and subsequent election to usher in a new era in Bayelsa State where development will be at par with the resources of the state.
