Briefing journalists in Lagos on the development, the Executive Director of Pink Pearl Foundation, Ms. Orode Uduaghan, stressed the need to educate the public on breast cancer prevention, control and management.
Uduaghan explained that the programmes would be creating a relaxed atmosphere where individuals as well as groups can come and have fun and at the same time be provided with basic information on breast cancer, its effects, treatments and healthy tips on how to avoid the disease.
According to Uduaghan, the most significant progress made to reduce death rates from cancer is through early detection.
