Abeokuta- Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun has dismissed allegations that the Truth Commission inaugurated by his administration is meant to witch-hunt members of the opposition.

INCUMBENT Chairman of Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State, Chief Mathias Ekweremadu, has lashed out at those alleging imposition of candidates by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the recent primaries for the December council polls, saying the election was free , fair, and transparent in his area.

Commercial activities were paralysed yesterday morning in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, when about 3,000 youths alleged to be supporters of the opposition Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, staged a protest match at the popular Wurukum Roundabout over the dismissal of the petition by the party challenging the victory of Governor Gabriel Suswam in the April general elections in the state by the Court of Appeal.
