LAGOS – Association of Shipbrokers and Consultants has called for the elimination of quacks in the shipping sector, adding that it will collaborate with stakeholders in the industry to promote best practices.
It observed that shipping business was not done properly in the industry.
President of the association, Mr Lucky Idehenre, who spoke in Lagos, noted that foreigners had taken over the industry, adding that the association would partner with government agencies on capacity-building. He lamented that there was a gap between ship owners and brokers due to lack of awareness.
