New management takes over at FERMA

ENGINEER Gabriel Amuchi led management of Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA, has assumed office.

The new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, CEO of FERMA, was formerly the Zonal Director South East.

Other members of the Management team are Engr. Patrick Ikpenwa, Executive Director, Operations, Engr. Garba Mubi, Executive Director Road Maintenance Management Services, Engr. Hassan Mohammed Ibrahim, Executive Director Planning and Engineering Services, Bishop Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo, Executive Director Administration and Human Resource Development and Mr. Taiwo Ladipo, Executive Director, Finance and Accounts.

It will be recalled that the Minister of Works, Mike Onolememen, on Monday, 12 September 2011, announced the reconstitution of the Management team of FERMA.

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan recently reconstituted the agency’s Governing Board and Executive Management.

Engineer Ezekiel Olajide Adeniji is to chair the new board of FERMA, while Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Gusau, Air Commodore Indongesit Nkanga (Rtd) Ambassador Jerry Ugokwe Senator U.J. Yohana Mr. Olatunji Shelle Mr. Samuel Gwomna Engineer (Mrs.) Mayen Adetiba, Engineer G.C. Amuchi (Managing Director, FERMA are to serve as members.

Other members of the board include representative of the Federal Ministry of Works, representative of the Federal Ministry of Finance- Member, representative of the Federal Ministry of Transport, representative of the Federal Road Safety Corps and the representative of the National Union of Road Transport Owners Association. Barrister (Mrs.) Stella Anukam (Legal Adviser, FERMA) is to serve as the Secretary.
