ONITSHA- Anambra State High Court has raked in N9million from legal fees between 2010 and June 3 this year.
The state Chief Judge, Peter Umeadi, who disclosed this while speaking during the state’s 2011/2012 legal year held at the State High Court, Awka.
Justice Umeadi called on judiciary workers to always shun industrial disputes with government to ensure quick dispensation of justice.
He said: “It was archaic, an invitation to anarchy bereft of christian charity, for judiciary workers to embark on strike and close the courts.
“Apart from throwing stakeholders into material want the liberty of individuals, that priceless commodity is compromised, let us keep the courts open. I give my full assurances to the good men and women of the state judiciary that under my watch their had work would be recorded and commensurate and quick reward would be theirs.”
