Owned by South African hospitality consultants, Thornberry Africa, the new hotel is no stranger to local or even foreign tourists as it is located at the centre of the transportation hub and it is easily accessible to its enviable and satisfied clientele.

This new deal broadens the array of hotels that the Thornberry brand represents; a portfolio of lodges, resorts and other tourist concerns situated in strategic destinations throughout Africa.

Speaking on the objective of the company, David Church, managing Director of Thornberry Africa thinks it is high time the management of hotels and like businesses are brought to word class standard, which according to him, are achievable through reputable expertise of management companies like Thornberry.

“Sounds and rhythms are very much part of Nigeria-they flow through her life and rich culture and history. As we value the tapestry of Nigeria, we have ensured that each hospitality property has a Thornberry beat”, Church said. He added that the company only selects that meets or exceed its extensive minimum standards and value experience for both travelers and bookers.

According to Church, each property on the Thornberry list is treated with specific; almost signature approach. This flows through culinary experience, furnishings and interiors and staff attitude to the highly placed guests.

Reflected index on each synergy, is presented as enhanced service delivery, developed business and product, together with total cost management. Other points on comparative advantage are massive training of staff and a revived customer focus.

The company, which currently overseas over 21 projects across the continent including Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, among others first came to Nigeria a little over a year ago and now manages hotels and resorts including Citilodge, Citipark, Luxury, Golf Prince, Memo and Castle Fields. While recent deals are Penthouse by Americas best, Sommerset Hotel, Westpoint Hotel, Lekki Oxford and Kennan Lodge.

Other new trends in Thornberry include the launch of a hotel portal which will revolutionize bookings, a new property brochure and significant additions to the team of the management company.
