UGHELLI—TheNational Teachers’ Institute, NTI, Government College, Ughelli Study Centre, Delta State, weekend, matriculated 166 students with a call on the matriculants to be disciplined and hardworking to reap fully the fruits of the NCE programmes.
The Delta State coordinator of the NTI distance programme, Mr. Jegede Kayode, who spoke at the ceremony, said the institution was very uncompromising in producing qualified, skilled, efficient and competent teachers for the nation’s education system.
He warned students to refrain from examination malpractice, forgery, truancy and damaging of property of the host institution, adding that appropriate disciplinary actions would be taken against offenders.
A product of the NTI programme and lecturer in Social Sciences Department, Delta State University, Abraka, Dr J. Okogu, who spoke at the event, noted that the programme would give opportunities to those cut-off in remote riverine and mountainous communities.
