By Theodore Opara

Renowned car maker, Porsche AG has finally settled in Nigeria. The car maker which is revered for making sports cars has finally gotten a home in Nigeria, courtesy of the Stallion Group a leading automobile marketing company in Nigeria.

The multi-million naira Porsche showroom was recently opened in Victoria Island, Lagos giving Porsche owners the assurance that Porsche has come to stay in Nigeria.

Located on Akin Adesola Street, opposite Globe Motors (Mercedes-Benz), the Porsche showroom is unarguably the most modern on the axis which houses many car showroom like Audi, Honda, Kia, BMW, Toyota among others.

The Porsche showroom is a storey building glass-house with offices for the company’s staff. Built and partitioned with glasses, the Porsche showroom is neatly finished with quality materials that depict the high quality of the Porsche brand. There has never been anything like it in terms of finishing on the Island.

The tastefully built showroom has no doubt changed the scape of the area especially as it backs a yet to be completed five star hotel on the next street. From afar, one has this the impression that the hotel is part of the showroom given it an unimaginable huge presence.

A friend who accompanied me to the Porsche showroom recently described the new showroom as a piece of America that fell into Nigeria.

Porsche Panamera, sports car for four

“This amazing. The environment here is different. You feel like you are outside Nigeria in one of those modern American cities” my friend said.

On display at the new showroom are latest models of Porsche cars including the Cayenne sports utility vehicle, Panamera sport car technology for four, Cayman sport car, different models of Porsche 911 and Boxer.

The construction of the Porsche showroom started barely two years ago and completed this month. Its customers include highly placed Nigerians and lovers of sport cars. Porsche cars are unique with state-of-the-art features.
