Penterin, Akinrinade, Babalakin, Eso, 16 others for awards in Osun

OSOGBO—Twenty indigenes of Osun state including the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Oluseyi Petirin have been slated for award as part of the activities marking the 20th anniversary of the creation of the state.
Other people penciled for award are former Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Alani Akinrinade (rtd), retired Justices of Supreme Court, Kayode Eso and Bola Babalakin, the former Head of Service in the old Oyo State, Mrs Tejumade Alakija, Chief Remi Olowude, MD/CEO, Industrial and General Insurance, Chief Yemi Elebuibon, the Araba of Osogboland, Chief Muraina Oyelami, and Oba Olayiwola Adedeji, the Akinrun of Ikirun among others.
Briefing Journalists in Osogbo, wedneday, Secretary to the State Government and Chairman, Organizing Committee for the celebration, Alhaji Mosood Adeoti, said the award was in recognition of the contributions of the individuals to the development of the state since its creation and the country at large.
