LAGOS—The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, will hold the Lagos phase of its 50th Anniversary Dinner/Fund Raising on Saturday, July 29, at MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
The dinner, which is part of a year-long programme of events and commenced last year when the institution turned 50, is expected to be attended by many distinguished alumni.
According to the Chairman of UNN @ 50 Fundraising/Endowments Committee, Professor Pat Utomi, this will be an excellent opportunity for a re-union among alumni of the school, as well as opportunity to raise funds for projects that would transform UNN into a truly world class citadel of learning.
Key among the projects is a state-of-the-art Alumni Centre, with 50-100 room world-class accommodation, a first rate auditorium, a recreational centre, seminar rooms, an e-learning centre, a museum of the university’s history, a hall of fame and an events hall.
