Bauchi-The Bauchi State Gubernatorial Election Petitions Tribunal, yesterday, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to allow counsel to the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, gubernatorial candidate,Yusuf Tuggar, to inspect election materials used in the gubernatorial election.
Counsel to the CPC candidate, Kingley Osuchi, earlier applied to the tribunal for access to the materials used in the election.
Counsel to Governor Isa Yuguda and INEC, Mr. Faruk Sarki and Mr. Y.D. Dangana did not oppose the application.
However, they requested to be present during the inspection of the materials.
In his ruling, Chairman of the tribunal, Justice David Monn, ordered INEC to allow counsel to the petitioner inspect the materials in the presence of the defence counsel.
It adjourned sitting to July 7 for pre-trial.
