Ceragon to strengthen long distance communication with Microwave link
Renowned communications backhaul support providers, Ceragon Networks, last week stormed Nigeria to put strength to its wish to ensure that mobile and fixed line carriers as well as private network operators in Nigeria possess the requisite transmission capacity to reliably deliver voice and premium data services to customers.
Ceragon said it was ready to do so armed with its microwave solution offerings known to have enhanced long distance communication links across the world.
Addressing a select ICT media professionals, Ceragon’s Senior Vice President, Global Businesses, said that although most operators in the country relied on fibre and satellite for transmission of voice and data, microwave radio solution remained the best option to carrying out such services, particularly with the recent trend of migrating to Internet Protocol solution services delivery.

He noted that the company already has presence in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, where it offers latest technology in microwave solutions.
According to him, “as the Market moves from second generation, 2G, technology to 3G, third generation technology and fourth generation, 4G, technology, there is absolutely need for a solution that will help in transiting to the IP breed.
