Police investigate death of American in a hotel

Detectives at the Homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department(SCID) Panti, have begun investigation into the death of an American citizen in a hotel in Victoria Island area of Lagos. The deceased identified as Perry Jerry Brent, was reportedly last seen with a lady the previous night .

But apprehension set in next day, after one of the room service ladies who had gone to clean the door, knocked without response. The door was reportedly forced open, only to see Brent stone dead on the bed.

Police men from Bar beach division who were contacted , arrived the scene and removed the corpse to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja for autopsy.
