ABEOKUTA-THE Chairman and Pro-Chancellor of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, Ago-Iwoye, Otunba Alex Onabanjo, has resigned his appointment.
The resignation will take effect from May 28, 2011.
Two other members of the Governing Council, Venerable P.B Oyebolu, an engineer, and Mr Sina Kawonise (currently the Ogun State Commissioner for Information & Orientation), also resigned their appointment with immediate effect. They all cited personal reasons for their decisions.
While accepting their resignation, Governor Olugbenga Daniel, thanked Otunba Onabanjo and his two colleagues, as well as others still serving on the Council, for their sacrifice, doggedness and focus in repositioning the OOU.
The Governor expressed his satisfaction for the reform work done by both the Council and Management.
