Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Chief Patrick Ekeji, may have taken up the responsibility to resolve the near war situation that is brewing among members of the Alhaji Aminu Maigari-led Nigeria Football Federation and the Nigeria Football Association being headed by Jarret Tenebe.

Ekeji’s intervention, which is coming for theumpteenth time in the crises ridden Maigari_led NFF, followed police invitation to the Federation Tuesday over alleged court contempt.
Jalla, along with Jaret Tenebe and others were slammed with life bans by the NFF executive ommittee Tuesday.

The source said Ekeji has invited members of the NFF board to his office with the hope of finding lasting solution to the logjam.
“As we talk now, the meeting is still on-going in Ekeji’s office. After the meeting with the Maigari-led board, a general one that would invole Jarret Tenebe and his group that include outspoken Shuaib Gara-Gombe would be called. This has to be completed within one week so he (Ekeji) would give positive feedback to the IGP”, the source yesterday.
