AHEAD of the May 29 date for his assumption of office for a full term in office as Nigeria’s president, Dr Goodluck Jonathan has been tasked to ensure the stability of the nation’s currency and guarantee the total security of the people and investors if the country is to assume its place in the comity of nations.
Renowned preacher and world class trainer on leadership, Dr Myles Munroe, said at the weekend that it would remain difficult for tourists and investors to visit and do business in Nigeria if the international community cannot have the assurance of a stable government and a sustained improvement in public institutions.
Munroe, who heads the largest church in his country, the Bahamas, was in Nigeria as guest of the national youth president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and senior pastor of the Power City International, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Dr Abel Damina.
He said it was lamentable that despite the potentials of the country and the intelligence of its citizens, Nigeria was still a sleeping giant. He expressed the hope that if the leaders, who have just been elected into office are properly trained, they could make a difference.
