The declining trend on the Nigerian Stock Exchange continued Tuesday, as investors lose more than N7 million of their investment in shares. The market indicators for measuring the performance indices, the market capitalisation andAll share index declined by N0.09 per cent each.
Specifically, the capitalisation dipped by N7.63 billion to close at N8.224 trillion from N8.231 trillion at which it opened, while the index dropped by 23.87 bases points to close at 25,738.80 points from 25,762.67 points.
Wema Bank Plc led 29 other stocks on the losers table dropping by five per cent or N0.06 to close at N1.14 per share, Bank PHB Plc followed with N0.07 to close at N1.36 per share and Diamond Bank Plc dipped by N0.32 to close at N6.23 per share.
Other share price losers include: Paints and Coatings Manufacturers Plc N0.10, NPF Micro Finance Bank Plc N0.06, Transnational Incorporation Plc N0.05, DN Meyer Plc N0.08, UTC Nigeria Plc N0.03, Nigerian Bottling Company Plc N1.46, Bags Manufacturing Company Plc N0.10, among others.
