As coach Samson Siasia is set to release his team list for the matches lined up for Eagles in the coming weeks, top team players are beginning to feel the pressure of the international friendly match against Argentina on June 1
Goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama who was speaking in an interview warned  Nigerian fans not to expect too much from the game.

The match billed for the Abuja National Stadium will make it the fourth time the Eagles are facing the Argentines in competitive and friendly games at the senior level.  Argentina have won all. And this is what is at play in the back of the minds of the Eagles’ players and coaches.

“Nigerians should not expect too much from the team in that game. They shouldn’t rush into conclusion if things do not go our way. The team is still in building process and we are just hoping to put up our best in that outing,”said Enyeama.

Enyeama who stood between Argentina’s Lionel Messi and goals at the South Africa 2010 World Cup, said however, that he was back in shape and ready to man the post if called upon to do so. He was not in the team that played Ethiopia in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier and the friendly against Kenya.

Coach Samson Siasia who is  expected to release his team list today, reechoed Enyeama’s submission, but he was cautiously optimistic about his team’s chances.

“We have played Argentina three times at senior national level in the past and they have been a formidable opponent.

“Just like us they are building for their future. We can assess the progress of our future heroes and they may be doing the same too although we all know that they have more established players. But we are ready for the challenge and we relish it”, said  Siasia who was in the team that lost 2-1 to a Diego Maradona inspired Argentina at the USA’94 World Cup.

From team captain Joseph Yobo to the likes of Osaze Odewengie the friendly against Argentina has been uppermost in their minds.
