The Code of Conduct Bureau, on Friday, interviewed Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN), as part of constitutional requirements for all elected officials with the leader of the seven man team, Mr Ademola Adebo, declaring that the governor has been transparent in government.
Adebo a federal commissioner of the Bureau, spoke with State House Correspondents at Lagos House, Ikeja after conducting the interview and said the team was quite happy as all the processes were gone through.
He said the exercise was deferred because the governor could not be taken on early last week because of his tight schedule, adding that the process involved all political appointees like the deputy governor, the Secretary to the State Government and other appointees.
He explained that the interview session is just the first stage with the second stage comprising of an analysis of all data compiled while the team will be looking out for issues like conflict of interest, abuse of office, foreign accounts and illicit enrichment.
Adebo added that all the completed forms will be examined to check if any of the issues arise and would be analysed with the team members having to revert to the politically exposed person if the need arises.
